The
consultation period on the draft Constitution will end at 12pm GMT on
31st March 2010. All comments and feedback must be submitted by that
date. Thereafter, we intend to arrange our first Comhairle Mor or Great
Council to ratify our Constitution and elect a Committee to run the day
to day affairs of the Council. The Committee will then seek to arrange
for full Council members to be elected to the Council. As it is the
first election of full Council members, it is expected that this may
take some time. Associate membership and Supporting membership will open
around this time.
Following the ratification of our Constitution, the Council welcomes
dialogue with bodies interested in our aims and objectives. We are
committed to a Clan system which is both inclusive, transparent and fits
with the 21st Century Globalised world, to ensure that the Scottish Clan
System has a valuable part to play both in Scotland and across the world
and remains in existence for the centuries to come. |
